New for the 2013 model year, the 2013 Audi A8 adds the 3.0T to its already impressive lineup. Audi designers kept all the features that have made the Audi A8 famous, but with a supercharged, smaller engine. Under the hood it boasts an impressive 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque.
It will also feature Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel drive standard on both regular and long-wheelbase models and eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new 2013 Audi A8 will be the first Audi vehicle sold in the United States with fuel saving Start/Stop technology. This system, which automatically shuts down the engine at a complete standstill, is quiet, convenient, and fast. In fact, the engine has already reached idle speed again by the time the driver engages the gear.
Audi Connect™ provides vehicle integration of Wi-Fi® service, an industry first. Essentially, it turns the 2013 Audi A8 into a rolling wireless hotspot with connections for up to eight Wi-Fi® capable devices. The Google™ Voice Local Search is also first in Audi Connect™, and provides drivers with more precise answers when asked about destinations, either by voice command or touchpad interface.
As far as specs and features, the 2013 model is similar to that of the previous model year. On the exterior, it shows off the Audi xenon plus headlights and LED daytime running lights that have become the signature look for Audi vehicles. A leather wrapped, multifunction steering wheel gives drivers navigation voice prompts, control of the audio system, Bluetooth® operation, and easy access to the Driver Information System (DIS).
Exclusive to Audi vehicles, Audi Drive Select provides control of the vehicle's adaptive suspension, dynamic steering, transmission shift characteristics, and engine response. This system offers several different driving configurations that allow the driver to operate their 2013 Audi A8 on Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, or Individual settings.
Upgraded features like parking assistance, power sunshades, and a rear seat entertainment system with two 10 screens and DVD player are available on upper trim levels.
Thanks to unprecedented success, the 2013 Audi A8 has become the new benchmark in the luxury vehicle category. Audi's flagship vehicle represents the best in engineering, equipment, design, and performance.
